Ozone hole at smallest size in decades.

In 20 years thanks to warm air temperatures the seasonal hole in the ozone layer above the continent of Antartica reached its smallest maximum extent and second smallest average. Thinning over the South Pole each September and October the ozone layer which shields the Earth from ultraviloe radiation from the sun. On September 22, the ozone hole grew to its biggest seasonal size of 21.2 million square kilometers. Although it may seem really large as it is. That's the smallest the hole has been since 1990. Frigid temperatures helps promote destruction, but natural weather fluctuations led to an increase to Antartic temps this year. Warm Antartic temperatures help preserve UV-protecting layer.
