Sneaky Cat Caught on Camera in Himalayas

For the first time an elusive thick-furred feline has been caught by a camera in the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan. Wangchuck Centennial Park is where this furry Pallas's cats image was captured on a camera trap. Pallas's cats have never been in the region before which includes the Himalayan black bear and the snow leopard according to the World Wildlife Fund. Rinjan Shrestha whom is a conservation scientist says "This is an exciting and remarkable discovery that proves that the Pallas's cat exists in the Himilayas" This primitive type of species of cats has evolved very little in the past 5 million years. It is the size of a house cat that looks like a Persian cat. The cats gray fur along with its black spots helps it blend in and survive with the mountainous habitats across Central Asia. The Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan is said to be a good place for cats to take shelter with over 60% of the country is under forest cover and over a quarter that is protected areas like national parks, along with its terrain mountains and valleys is said to be a hotspot for biodiversity.
